Nurses and Counselors

A proposal has been made for our community schools. One is to hire more nurses and the other one is to hire more counselors in order to help with the development of students. There is not enough money to accomplish the two proposals. Which one should Mayor Mike Bloomberg choose?

A) The first proposal is to hire more nurses.

Having more nurses in school is very important because they:
1- Can help with the health of students.
2- Can give sex education classes.
3- Be able to help all the students if there is more than one nurse.

B) The second is to hire more counselors.

It is necessary that schools have more psychological, academic, and career counselors because if we have more they could:

1- Help student when they have personal problems (family, self esteem, etc).
2- Give academics advisement.
3- Have time for each student.
